| Tips for your application: |
| Don't wait until the last minute. Getting your application in well in advance of the
deadline demonstrates to us your interest in a scholarship. We will not accept hand delivered
applications and will not consider applications which are postmarked even one day after the application deadline date. |
| Make sure we can read your application. Not everyone has access to a computer or a typewriter, so we expect to
receive some handwritten applications and essays. But if you hand write your application and/or your essay, make sure it is easy
to read. This is especially true of your contact information. |
| Remember what your English teacher taught you. Remember when your english teacher told you your spelling, punctuation,
and writing skills would be important someday? The time has come. Give some thought to your essay and make sure it is well written
and free from spelling and grammatical errors. |
| Make sure your application is complete Applications which are not properly filled out or which are not signed will not
be considered. Neither will applications which are not accompanied by an essay or a current photo. Make sure you have everything
together before you put the package in the mail. |
